Pet Project

The Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia "Pet Project" program to help improve the adoptability of rescued animals at Philadelphia shelters. Some animals have a much tougher time being adopted due to previous abuse, no previous training, or owner neglect. We want to give them a helping hand.

Our "Pet Project" focuses on cats and dogs who need extra help finding permanent homes.   CNKP volunteers and program partners will develop a program addressing the specific challenges of each animal selected to maximize its chances of being adopted--whether it's training, exercise, enrichment, grooming or all of the above!

"The Pet Project" is only possible because of you.

Your tax-free donation goes directly to saving the lives of these animals!

Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia is comprised of taxpayers and pet lovers who are committed to saving all healthy and treatable companion animals in Philadelphia shelters. Using political advocacy, grassroots efforts and humane education, CNKP works with our elected officials, other non-profit groups and the public to raise awareness about creating a No-Kill model that will save the lives of the 10,000+ cats, dogs and small animals that die each year in Philadelphia shelters because of overpopulation.

Citizens for a No-Kill Philadelphia is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization

and was incorporated in Pennsylvania in 2009.
